Welcome Reception

The reception will take place on Sunday evening, June 29, at 6.30 p.m at the Estonian National Museum (ERM; address: Muuseumi tee 2), the conference venue. Light snacks and drinks are offered. Included in the registration fee.

The Estonian National Museum is an ethnologically and cultural-historically oriented museum which aims at reflecting everyday life and culture as a way of life, taking into account its periodical, spatial and social diversity. The museum focuses on collecting, preserving and studying material concerned with the culture and history of Estonians, Estonian minorities and Finno-Ugric peoples and making it accessible.

Symposium dinner

The symposium dinner will take place on Wednesday, July 2, at 7:00 p.m. The venue is to be announced.

Pre-conference cultural excursions

On 29th June before conference it will be possible to participate in a city tour (60 minutes, 14:00, 15:00, 16:00, 17:00, registration is required). The meeting point is on the Town Hall Square (Raekoja plats) at the fountain. Price:

Post-conference tour to Saaremaa July 5-6

The post-conference tour will take participants to Saaremaa, the largest island in Estonia. On the way, we will visit the Soomaa and Matsalu National Parks. Once on the island, we will visit the capital city Kuressaare, the island of Muhu, the Kaali meteorite crater, Loode oak grove and the seaside. The precise programme will be announced in due course.

Accommodation and meals are included.

Departure is in the morning of July 5 from Tartu, the tour will end in Tallinn on July 6.

Price:

The tour will happen when there are at least 20 people registered, the maximum number per tour is 45.
